These by-laws of SANSKRITI, INC. (Hereinafter referred to as "the Corporation" or "Sanskriti") adopted on May 17, 1976 shall be read in conjunction with, and as subsidiary to, the Articles of Incorporation of Sanskriti. The activities and business of the Corporation shall be managed or conducted in accordance with provisions of these By-Laws, as provided in Article 6 of the Article of Incorporation. Some of the provisions of the By-Laws define or specify in detail certain related provisions of the Articles of Incorporation.

Whereas Sanskriti, Inc. is a non-profit Corporation incorporated in the State of Maryland, as approved and received for record by the State Department of Assessment and Taxation of Maryland on May 17, 1976;

Whereas Sanskriti Inc. is exempt from federal income tax. Effective August 25. 1983, under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, in accordance with a letter dated of the District Director at Baltimore. Maryland, of the Internal Revenue Service;

Sanskriti Inc. is a non-profit, religious, literary, social, cultural, educational, charitable organization in the Washington Metro area including Virginia and Maryland. It was incorporated in the state of Maryland on May 17, 1976 with the following objectives:

1) Promote Indian culture and organizes Indian cultural, social and religious events
2) Support charitable causes all over the world
3) Support Youth member activities
4) Foster friendship and understanding between and amongst the people of Indian origin and American origin
