As you already know, Sanskriti will host Banga Sammelan in 2011. And one of the first thing needed for the Sammelan is to develop a “Theme".
NABC2011 is requesting all Sanskriti members and the members of the community at large to provide their thoughts on the "Theme" of the 2011 Banga Sammelan.
"Theme" is the 'spirit' or the underlying 'message' one might say, that the Sammelan will present and showcase through various items of the Sammelan, e.g, Logo, Color Scheme, Seminar, Publication, Postings and a Special Cultural Program.
To provide examples, our 2004 Sammelan theme was 'Simana Chhariye' to mean '... ‘beyond boundaries’ … we have crossed the boundaries, in physical terms as well as in achievement. The theme of 2009 Sammelan at San Jose was 'Naba Banga Taranga' meaning the new waves in Bengal.
Essentially, the idea of the theme will have to be captured in 2-3 words, which will sound novel, interesting, encouraging and will carry the message.
Please put your creative mind at work, and let us have a superb "Theme".
There will be a panel of judges to select the best theme. The winner of the best theme will be announced around end of September, 2009.
Please email your thoughts on "Theme" to info@sanskriti-dc.org
Deadline for sending your thoughts on "Theme" is September 10, 2009.
