As many of you may know, Dr. Abhijit Guha, an accomplished Neuroscientist and the Past President of the Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNO), has been diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia earlier this month. He is confined to hospital ( Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada ) and will soon need a bone-marrow transplant to survive. A bone-marrow donor match is critical for him at this juncture, with the most likely match coming from someone of East Indian descent. This can be potentially curable cancer, but finding a bone marrow match is absoltely critical.
